Audiological Evaluations

Complete hearing testing for ages infant to adult provided by a certified clinical audiologist. Evaluations include measures of hearing sensitivity for air and bone conducted sounds, measures of speech discrimination ability and, when necessary, assessment of the middle ear function (impedance audiometry), and special testing to determine the location of dysfunction. A Speech in Noise test may also be administered as needed.

Hearing Aid Evaluations

Videootoscopy is used to visually evaluate the status of the external ear and eardrum. Combined with the knowledge of our audiologists, you'll know exactly what it will take to have better hearing health.

Hearing Aid Sales & Service

We offer a wide selection of hearing aids, including digital processing and digitally programmable, from a variety of manufacturers. We will work with you to find the best solution for your hearing healthcare needs within your budget.

Hearing Aid Accessories

Hearing aid batteries, assistive listening devices such as audio induction loops, infrared systems and FM modulated systems, TV listening devices and telephone amplifiers, and items for the care and maintenance of your hearing aids are always available.

Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs)

We offer information and guidance on use of assistive listening devices, such as amplified telephones, FM transmitter systems, and infrared systems. These systems serve as additional help in situations when hearing aids do not provide the necessary assistance. We will either order the device in which you are interested, or give you the information to order on your own.

Battery Sales

  • Common battery sizes are 10, 13, 312 and 675. To identify the battery size, manufacturers use an industry standard color code system.
    • Size 10 yellow
    • Size 312 brown
    • Size 13 orange
    • Size 675 blue

Live Speech Mapping

Live Speech Mapping is a fitting process that uses probe microphones and live real-time speech to allow the patient and their family members to immediately see and understand the benefits of hearing aids and fitting adjustments.

Cell Phone Accessories

Custom earmolds for cell phone headrests, Bluetooth compatible device, hands-free and more.

Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations

You will also be tested using a series of low & high frequency words to determine your ability to understand verbiage within a short distance as in a conversation. We will also give you several words to repeat. The results will help us determine your percentage of hearing loss, your ability to understand speech, and if hearing aids will help you.

Electrocochleography (ECOG)

ECOG is a variant of brainstem audio evoked response (BAER). It is not a vestibular test at all but rather a test of hearing. It is intended to diagnose Meniere's disease, and, in particular, hydrops.

ABR-Diagnostic Auditory Brainstem Response

Diagnostic Auditory Brainstem response (ABR) is a diagnostic test which is similar to an EEG. This procedure involves the use of clicking sounds to stimulate the auditory nerve, which produces an electrical response. Electrodes placed on the patient's face and ears pick up the electrical activity of the nerve, and a computer displays the results for the audiologist to interpret. Also known as BERA, BAER.
Brainstem Auditory Evoked potentials are representations of neural activity within the auditory system obtained with an averaging computer. This information used in the differential identification of retrocochlear disease. In addition, Brainstem Auditory Evoked potentials are an important part of a test battery for the identification of hearing impairment in difficult-to-test patients such as infants, multiple-handicapped individuals, or persons with non-organic hearing loss.

Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emissions

A small probe like an earplug is placed into the ear canal, and a series of tones is presented to the ear. The probe records the response from the hair cells of the inner ear to these tones to give an indication as to hair cell function.

Videonystagmography (vng) testing

VNG testing is used to determine if a vestibular (inner ear) disease may be causing a balance or dizziness problem, and is one of the only tests available today that can decipher between a unilateral (one ear) and bilateral (both ears) vestibular loss.

Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) Testing

The purpose of this test is to determine if the saccule, one portion of the otoliths, as well the inferior vestibular nerve and central connections, are intact and working normally.

Tinnitus Diagnostics & Management

Many people experience ringing or other noise in the ear or head. We will evaluate the nature of this noise, make appropriate medical referrals, and discuss possibilities in management, such as tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT).

Tympanometry

Tympanometry is an examination used to test the condition of the middle ear and mobility of the eardrum (tympanic membrane) and the conduction bones, by creating variations of air pressure in the ear canal.
